Morgan Fahey

My teenage years and early 20's were spent in the waves, river mouths, estuaries and lakes. Swimming, surfing and eventually kite-surfing.

​

I decided to become a qualified kitesurfing instructor. This career path led me to the Red Sea (Egypt), teaching international guests and locals the pure thrill of kite-surfing.

​

Here my wife, Catherine and I, were given the opportunity to design, build and manage a kite-surfing school in a very special part of Egypt.

​

After 6 years living in Egypt, we moved back to New Zealand to raise our family in Taranaki. On returning to New Plymouth I became a qualified builder.

​

Since then I have completed numerous renovations, fences, decks, steps, retaining walls and home maintenance repairs.

Communication is key when working with my clients. If a variation arises I like to sit down and problem solve the issue and come to a solution before moving forward.

Establishing strong, long-term, relationships with trade suppliers and other professional tradespeople is essential to deliver a great service and final product to my clients.

Hi, my name is Catherine, but you can call me Cat!

I will most likely be your first point of contact here at Smart Build Solutions. I work on the day to day running of the business and I work hard with the rest of our team to ensure you have an enjoyable building experience with us at Smart Build Solutions.

I have over 10 years’ experience in many areas of administration and 5 years within the finance industry.

My time in administration began when my husband and I, moved to Egypt where we built a kitesurfing centre and an amazing team to run it with us.

​

I love spending time with my two young children and husband and going on adventures together.

​

I look forward to helping you during your building journey with us.
